Everything you need to know to become a wizard of the cloud!

A hostname is a human-readable label for identifying a server. In the cloud, there can be hundreds to thousands of servers in the network, and each one can be identified by their hostname. When servers talk to each other, they locate the IP address, but humans need something that is more understandable, therefore a hostname is a label that a human operator can use to understand the location of a server.
